Chromebooks – Most HCS students were sent home with a school issued device over the summer. Please bring these to school tomorrow (charge them tonight, please).
Lunch – Teachers will have student lunch numbers in case students have forgotten.
- Free & Reduced Lunch – Many families qualify for free or reduced lunch prices without even realizing it! If there is any chance that you might qualify, complete the application using the link below. Only one application per household. Find out information and complete an application HERE.
- Call 423-498-7290 to reach our Cafeteria staff if you have questions.
- Student Schedules & Related Arts Schedule Change Requests – Students will receive a freshly printed schedule as they arrive tomorrow morning. Schedule Change Request forms will be available on Monday on the front lobby table to bring home. This form must be signed by a parent and returned to school by next Tuesday 8/15 for Requests to be considered. Please note that we do not entertain requests for Team changes and that not all changes requested will be made. We want our students to experience multiple Related Arts offerings throughout their time in middle school – you never know – they may discover a hidden talent by trying something new
When students arrive they may go to the gym, the cafe, or the Media Center. There will be ample adults to direct students!
- Students wishing to eat breakfast may go to the Cafe.
- Students may go to the gym to await the 7:05 dismissal bell to go to 1st period.
- Students may go to the Media Center if a quiet space is preferred.
Arrival & Dismissal
- Car Riders – Drop off begins in the front of the school at 6:45. There is NO adult supervision before 6:45am.
- Parents, please do not park in the left lane waiting to drop off students until 6:45. The left lane is to remain open as a passing lane until the car line begins to move at 6:45.
- Bus Riders – Find your student’s Bus Route using the Bus Stop Finder linked on the Loftis website or call transportation at 498-5555
- Dismissal Car Rider Line
- Dismissal begins at 2:15 and will be SLOW the first days. Please be patient and do not yell at us. It will take everyone a couple of days to get the hang of things then the line will run quickly. I promise!
- Parents, please do not park in the left lane until after 2:00. The left lane is to remain open as a passing lane.
- We will be outside to provide printed Car Tags as you arrive on these first few days so that your student’s name can be clearly displayed in the front window of the car.
- If your student is not out when it is time to roll the line, you will be asked to take the circle and hop back in line. This keeps the line moving smoothly and speeds the process!
- Please do not park unless you need to enter the building. Students are not allowed to walk to parked cars in front spots or the faculty parking lot.
- Remember, we are literally standing in traffic to protect your children, so, please don’t yell at us. 😉
